Missouri's College of the Ozarks - a SPECIAL college!

Whoa: College Creates Mandatory Patriotism Class for Freshmen

WHY AREN'T ALL OF OUR SCHOOLS IN THE UNITED STATES - PRIVATE AND GOVERNMENT - DOING THIS INSTEAD OF THEIR COMMUNIST PROPAGANDA AND LIES?

On your average college campus these days, students are busy learning that America was forged in a cauldron of racist genocide, was built on the back of slavery, and continues to this day to be a beacon of evil at home and abroad. Meanwhile, the students go even further when left to their own devices, protesting madly against anyone who might come to campus with a different point of view – even if that point of view is decidedly liberal!

You’ve got NFL players kneeling for the national anthem, Democrats calling on historical monuments to be torn down, and half the country calling for the illegal removal of the rightfully-elected President of the United States.
In an environment like that, it’s refreshing to see at least one institution of higher learning take a stand.

That’s what the College of the Ozarks is doing. The
Missouri-based Christian college has introduced a new military science class called Patriotic Education and Fitness, and they are making it a required course for all incoming freshmen. Students will be taught the basics of military customs and traditions, learn about U.S. politics, and even get a crash course in rifle marksmanship, all in an effort to invoke in them a spirit of patriotism and respect for the U.S. armed forces.

From Bloomberg:
“I really think that if you give a person the tools of an education, the patriotic yearnings inside of themselves and the leadership tools that can be taught — they will be leaders,” said Terrence Dake, a board of trustees member for the college and retired general with the U.S. Marine Corps.

(THANK YOU General Dake!)

College President Jerry Davis said he believes “understanding the military now is more important than ever because we have 99 percent of the population being defended by 1 percent, who are in uniform. We should be more intentional about patriotic education, and from our point of view that needs to occur from kindergarten all the way through college.”

The required class builds camaraderie among students, according to Talan Saylor, a freshman at the college.  “We all go through kind of the same thing, so going through a patriotic class where we are learning about our country and fostering a love for that country together is really special,” he said.

We’re sure liberals will see this as a ghastly bit of “indoctrination,” but we find it unbelievably courageous and wise. At least we know there will be at least one crop of leaders graduating college who have been taught to respect the inter-generational gift they’ve been given. Perhaps they’ll be more inclined than most to pass it on, undamaged, to their children.

WE SALUTE YOU -  College of the Ozarks - FOR TAKING A STAND, AND THE STUDENTS FOR HAVING COMMON SENSE, WISDOM AND LOVE FOR COUNTRY!
MAY THE GOOD LORD BLESS YOU RICHLY!

Here in the state of Oregon we have a law that was put on the books back in 1923 ORS 336.057 and ORS 336.067 1929. To this day, these so called laws have never been implemented or enforced let alone mentioned. All by design of course. The Oregon State board of education should be sued and even criminal charges are warranted for this non action against the criminal governor Brown and all the rest who are responsible.

336.057 Courses in Constitution and history of United States. In all public schools, courses of instruction shall be given in the Constitution of the United States and in the history of the United States. These courses shall:

(1) Begin not later than the opening of the eighth grade and shall continue in grades 9 through 12.

(2) Be required in all public universities listed in ORS 352.002 and in all state and local institutions that provide education for patients or inmates to an extent to be determined by the Superintendent of Public Instruction. [Formerly 336.230; 1977 c.226 §1; 1999 c.1023 §1; 2011 c.637 §114; 2015 c.27 §35]

336.067 Topics given special emphasis in instruction. (1) In public schools special emphasis shall be given to instruction in:

(a) Honesty, morality, courtesy, obedience to law, respect for the national flag, the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Oregon, respect for parents and the home, the dignity and necessity of honest labor and other lessons that tend to promote and develop an upright and desirable citizenry.

(b) Respect for all humans, regardless of race, color, creed, national origin, religion, age, sex or disability.

(c) Acknowledgment of the dignity and worth of individuals and groups and their participative roles in society.

(d) Humane treatment of animals.

(e) The effects of tobacco, alcohol, drugs and controlled substances upon the human system.

(2) The Superintendent of Public Instruction shall prepare an outline with suggestions that will best accomplish the purpose of this section, and shall incorporate the outline in the courses of study for all public schools. [Formerly 336.240; 1975 c.531 §1; 1979 c.744 §13; 1993 c.45 §75; 2005 c.209 §22]

Also, it is required by law that all law enforcement people should have a full high school education before being accepted or hired. Since this is not the case would these LEO be committing a crime every time they put on their magic suits since they don't have a full high school education according to law? This is just one example how dumbed down we have all become by design and how corrupt the justus system really is under the color of law. The hits just keep on comin.

Our grandson attends College of the Ozarks and is very happy there. He is very smart and made good grades through out high school. My son & I visited with him recently and he showed us around the entire campus and told us what each building was for. Our grandson works in the museum when not in class and all of the students that we met were working at some job there at the college. They were very polite and seemed so well adjusted and happy. There are many monuments to outstanding military veterans and yes, they are all patriotic. We are so blessed to live in the USA and most folks don't even know that or appreciate how well off we are compared to other countries. The College of the Ozarks is truly an outstanding educational institution and the others could learn a lot from it.
